This tool creates automated or manual backups of local and network files in ZIP format on hard disks, CDs and other removable devices. A wizard guides you through the steps of a backup-set creation. Enabling file inclusion on the date-time basis, you will back up the new and changed files only. Having configured the backup-set only once, you are free to create as many backup copies as you wish. You can restore the files stored in a backup, and view or edit their content. The export and import functions allow you to synchronize the folders on two or more PCs and to span the large backups across multiple disks. Other functions include selecting files by size and attributes, creating self-extracting backups and support for command-line and ActiveX automation. Active Backup Expert Pro creates unattended backups by using the Active Task Manager included in the installation package. This automation utility can work as a stand-alone application to help you to schedule other tasks.
