This is a replacement WordPad that offers support for RTF, DOC and plain-text documents. It comes with all of the standard features that you would expect in a program of this type, such as find and replace, spell check and various text-formatting options. The program also supports working on multiple documents at the same time with a multi-tab view.
The graphical interface lets you do all of your document editing and formatting by simply clicking on the program's tool icons and buttons. By using Jarte's graphical interface, you can more or less eliminate the need to access any of the program's pulldown menus in order to work with a document.
The look of Jarte's interface can also be changed by selecting different background wallpapers and textures that come with the program.
