This utility is designed to complement your existing antivirus package. The LAN scanner detects the traces that a virus leaves in your system's registry. By looking for the signs of a virus's activity in the registry, this program compiles a list of infected systems.
In about 45 minutes, you can scan 2,000 systems. Once scanning is complete, you have the opportunity to dump scan results directly to Microsoft Excel 97, 2000 or XP. The program is database driven, so future viruses can be added, allowing you to target specific viruses. The database has two types of tables so you can test for the existence of a specific value in the registry, or query a value and test it for specific data.
