The scanner client in this program gathers an extensive amount of WMI information plus scans for the existence of files on the hard disk and prompts the user with a question.
This data is sent over IP to the Data Listener which adds it to a Microsoft Access 2000 database. This eliminates the need for having users log in to the network to perform inventory on a shared drive.
The client can be run from a shared drive through the login script. In the database are a number of predefined reports for common questions including who has the latest Windows patches installed.
