It is built on top of a 3D game engine and can use any audio source available at the Windows recording mixer. The visualization is very precise, and the frequency range to be sampled can be adjusted to match any incoming sound sources. Modular audio controllers can be connected to about any scene parameter such as objects position, rotation, scaling, color, material and texture properties, and particle system parameters. The output of every controller can be mixed with the results of other audio or procedural controllers for more complex animations.

The dynamic fractal effects can be controlled interactively by the end user. Since the effects are view-dependent, FractaliMotion provides full six degrees of freedom navigation in 3D space using the mouse and the keyboard, plus a Viewpoint Bookmarks management system to record and restore favourite views and effects. In addition, it allows for fly-through recording and playback for self-running animated demos.
